Holidays on the Mar Menor

I have been visiting the Mar Menor now several years and really love the location. I find it very tranquil. The area has so much to offer with lots to do for everybody. I am looking for any feed back with other holiday makes who have visited the area on places visited and sites seen and so on.

My favorite place at the moment is Cartagena. It is so relaxing at one of the cafes at the marina yet the city centre is a hive of activity. The shopping is super. A visit to the castle is a must with great views over the harbour and Roman theatre also a trip on the boat informing of the history was excellent.

My husband and I have visited the mar menor many times because it is still so unspoilt. We do hope that the govenment put a stop to all the building so as not to spoil the area.

Stayed on the Polaris world mar menor resort this summer. The resort was excellent and in a great location. Went to La Zenia to visit friends in the area beautiful little beach and only 15 minutes away. Los Alcazres is a local town on the mar menor, we spent a few days at the beach again only 5 minutes away and went on a ferry over to the la manga strip, we got the ferry from santiago de la ribera another loverly place. We enjoyed our stay so much that we plan to return next year as we felt like we had had a real holiday.
